Pam created this blend for herself when she was diagnosed with a non-surgical tear in her rotator cuff. Within 48 hours she was able to move and rotate her arm and shoulder without too much discomfort. She continued to apply the oil three times a day and started exercising the shoulder. Movement is key to recovery, but pain and inflammation make it difficult to exercise the muscles enough so that they can support the injured rotator cuff while it heals. Pam’s shoulder was completely better in less than two weeks and she was able to resume her regular activities with no pain or discomfort. The magical ingredient in this blend is Lemongrass. Lemongrass is a member of the Poaceae grass family and it contains Geranial, Neral, Geraniol, and Farnesol. These chemical compounds include hydrocarbon terpenes, alcohols, ketones, esters and many aldehydes. Lemongrass also contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, C, folate, manganese, copper, potassium, calcium, zinc, and iron. It’s no wonder that Lemongrass is so effective at healing connective tissue, tendons, and ligaments!

Roll Athletes Blend at least three times a day - or as often as needed. We recommend rubbing an unscented lotion over the oil to help the essential oils penetrate deeper into your cells. We also highly recommend using a heating pad at night after rolling Athlete’s Friend. Heat will draw blood flow to the affected area to help heal and provide additional pain relief.

Avoid contact with eyes. Should you get essential oils in your eye - do not flush with water. Instead use a cotton swab or tissue with a vegetable-based oil (olive, corn, coconut, etc.) and gently dab the vegetable oil in the corner of your eye. The vegetable oil will draw out the essential oil.
